Q.

A.

The rooftop solar power system is a power generation system that can be installed on the roof of facilities such as office building, factory building, car park roof, etc. When the solar cell receives light energy from the sun, it generates electricity for using in the facility and its nearby.

Q.

A.

Generally, we offer solar rental period between 10-13 years which we suggest that it is the period that a customer can reduce cost from the first year of installation. However, we can shorten the length of the period due to customer’s condition.

Q.

A.

The major benefit of solar power system is to lower monthly electricity cost. You can reduce your expenditure on monthly electricity bills from the electricity company because the solar power system creates your own electricity on your site.

Q.

A.

As long as there is sunlight, even when clouds are blocking the sun, solar panels can still generate electricity but cannot operate at maximum generation. And they cannot generate electricity when there is no sunlight during nighttime.

Q.

A.

The solar panel is divided into 3 main types. First, Silicon type which is the most-used type all over the world. Second, Compound type includes CI(G)S and CdTe type used with thin film solar cells. Third, Organic Solar cell known as plastic solar cells. It is used in small electronic devices that need only a small amount of power. The most common types of silicon panels are monocrystalline and polycrystalline.

Monocrystalline Silicon Solar Cells:

‐ The average conversion rate is 15-20% (the percentage of the ratio that the panels can convert the sunlight energy to electricity).

⁻ Produce more electricity in low light conditions than polycrystalline.

‐ It can generate electricity well even in low temperature.

‐ Since it gives higher power, it needs less space to produce electricity. It is favorable in installing in residence.

Polycrystalline Silicon Solar Cells:

       - The average conversion rate is 13-16% (the percentage of the ratio that the panels can convert the sunlight energy to electricity).

       - It can generate electricity well, even in high temperature.

       - It is cheaper than monocrystalline, but it needs more space to produce electricity. It is recommended in installing in wide area

         such as factory rooftop.

We will design and choose the right type of solar panels for a customer’s factory.

Q.

A.

Yes. If your facility consumes electricity at nighttime, you may install solar batteries. However, batteries’ price is still expensive nowadays. If a customer considers about BCP, the battery installation might be an option.

Q.

A.

For the solar panel, manufacturers typically offer 2 types of warranty as below:

  (1) Product warranty for 10-15 years (the standard panel lifetime is 25-30 years)

When there are any failures due to manufacturing, materials or internal causes, the manufacturer will repair or replace the module

       with equivalent one.

  (2) Power output warranty for generally 25 years.

If the module generates actual power output of less than 80-90% of the nominal minimum power output, the manufacturer will

repair, replace, provide additional panels to compensate the power loss or refund.

For inverter, manufacturers generally offer a product warranty for 5-10 years covering any costs which a user incurs for repair or replacement parts.

Q.

A.

Most of the power conditioner manufacturer have the application for checking the real time information and status of solar power system. A customer can check how much the solar power system produces electricity through the application. The application has many features as below:

    - Check the daily and historical solar power production and usage

    - The overview of the rest usage of electricity

    - Carbon footprint
